Device Drivers : 05 - Zebra Printer with Player Serial (RS232)

OBJECTIVE

To verify that the Serial Driver works properly in each Player Release.

PRECONDITION

Note: RS232 test case QA-T1020 is tested with Windows and Zebra printer

You have a Windows computer with the Player installed
Driver Unit test is opened in Player
You have a Serial (Player Only) Device (RS232 cable with orange mini adapter) plugged in to Zebra printer
The following Driver is installed to your PC: link.

Setting up the test:

Disconnect the big serial connector on the back of the Zebra printer
Use the RS232 connection cable (big and blue on one end and lights up when connected)
Remove other connectors from it and just leave on the orange mini adapter
Plug the cable into the blue female serial plug on the back of the Zebra printer, and the other (USB) end directly to your Windows PC.
The Serial Zebra Printer test will work fine now
The COM port is populated automatically by clicking the List button
