QA-T1036

Device Drivers : 06 - Telnet - ZPL (Zebra) Printer

OBJECTIVE
To verify that the Telnet Driver for Zebra printer works properly in each Player Release.
PRECONDITION
  • A Windows computer with the Tulip Player installed
  • ZPL (Zebra) printer is plugged in and online
  • You have a running Edge Device (Edge IO or Edge MC) registered to a Tulip Instance (qa.tulip.co) ---- Edge device is Not necessary to run this test;  you can plug directly into your Windows laptop instead
  • Tulip Player for Windows is connected to the same network as the ZPL printer
  • You accessed Device Portal for Driver Configuration and enabled Zebra printer
  • You added your Zebra printer IP, ZPL Template name and ZPL Code and saved configuration
  • You have access to the Driver Unit Test app
  • (!check the preconditions of QA-T1014 for more info!)

NOTE--->.  For the Player 2.7.0 Release QA cycle and forward, ok to test QA-T1015 and QA-T1036 that is tested with Windows Also on Linux and Mac.  Per Mussie: I have looked through the test script and there shouldn't be any difference except replacing the word Windows. This is being added because with 2.7.0 we now support network drivers for Linux and Mac.
