OBJECTIVE
For LTS: Automatic Updates of Edge Devices in Factory
Edge devices on Stable OS builds will be queued for update; those with Online status will be updated as follows:
On the Shop Floor \Edge Devices page, any devices (offline and online) that are on Stable builds older than current will get Update Queued button within first half hour of the window
Note: the examples in this test plan are based on the user testing Edge IO, Edge MC and IO Gateway
Edge devices on Stable OS builds will be queued for update; those with Online status will be updated as follows:

- Test 1 - If devices are Offline, they will receive the Update Queued status. The Automatic Update 4-hour window is not utilized for LTS
- Test 2 - If devices are Online, they will be updated immediately The Automatic Update 4-hour window is not utilized for LTS
- Test 3 - Devices that are Not on Stable builds or are already up to date will be ignored by the auto update process
Note: the examples in this test plan are based on the user testing Edge IO, Edge MC and IO Gateway
PRECONDITION
N O T E:
If testing on LTS version, then you must first get your devices onto the following OS versions listed here:https://download.tulip.co/releases/edge/cloud-to-firmware-version-lock.json
If testing on LTS13, then you must first get your devices onto the following OS versions:
Edge MC (nanopi-r1): os58.1
Edge IO (nanopi-core2): os58.1
IO Gatway (beaglebone): os57.3
For initial test, you will want to have an Edge IO, Edge MC and IO Gateway, all on older (Stable) builds
