User Management: 15 / Login Attempt Rate Limiting
OBJECTIVE
This test confirms the following behaviors for user logins:
- After several unsuccessful logins, the login prompt is disabled
- An informative message is shown when the user is rate limited
PRECONDITION
- The user is on a site where accounts with email/password login have been added (for example qa.tulip.co)
- The user is logged out.
- The user is aware of an email corresponding to an account, but not necessarily the password.
